摘要: A low inductance electrical machine (1) that may be used as an alternator or motor with armature is disclosed. Arrangements of complementary windings (40A, 42A) are presented in which the fluxes induced by currents (40) effectively cancel leading to magnetic energy storage within (1). This leads net flux levels, core losses, and reduced tendency toward saturation. The inclusion additional gaps (54, 56) circuit allows for independent adjustment air gap geometry inductance. Separately excited field arrangements (8) disclosed allow rotor (22, 24, 25) motion effect brush-less operation. An exemplary includes a stator (2) including two annular rings (4, 6) concentric coil together structure separated from four (50, 52, 54, 56).
