Countering the negative effects of job insecurity through participative decision making: lessons from the demand-control model.

摘要: This study examined the effectiveness of increased organizational participative decision making in attenuating negative consequences job insecurity. Data were collected from 807 employees 6 different companies. Analyses suggest that insecurity is related to lower coworker, work, and supervisor satisfaction higher turnover intentions work withdrawal behaviors. However, with greater decision-making opportunities reported fewer compared opportunities. Results are interpreted using demand-control model organizations allow employee may experience side effects today's rising levels
