摘要: The effects of isolated, mature Samanea saman trees on herbaceous production and species composition were investigated over the 1993/1994 growing season in a subhumid tropical grassland north-east Queensland, Australia. Under crown, cumulative aboveground biomass was almost 90% above that open grassland. This increase associated with difference composition. principal grass under crown Panicum maximum, while grassland, dominant Urochloa mosambicensis. Near intermediate this reflected mixed study confirms earlier, largely anecdotal reports potential beneficial S. forage production, but by itself unable to explain mechanism which occurred.
