摘要: Using the tensorial Landau\char21{}de Gennes theory, we study fluctuations of a disclination line in nematic liquid crystal. By analyzing structure and spectrum eigenmodes strength $\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1∕2$, reassess concept tension used simple string model showing that it does not include complete set must be renormalized. In general, considerably underestimates thermal amplitude find is only applicable to severely confined disclinations.
