摘要: Twenty-six cases of lymphocytic bronchitis/bronchiolitis (LBB) identified by transbronchial biopsy in 25 lung allograft recipients were studied to determine its relationships acute rejection and bronchiolitis obliterans (OB). LBB occurred 355 days after transplantation on average (range, 15-2,118 days) was manifested a patchy or diffuse submucosal infiltrate lymphocytes plasma cells, which percolated deep the smooth muscle layer bronchi 15 cases. Submucosal granulation tissue observed more frequently patients who developed OB than those did not (44% 88% vs 23% 41%). Although 39% progressed overall, majority with received augmented immunosuppressive therapy (steroids, antithymocyte globulin, both) improved stabilized their pulmonary function abnormalities. Interestingly, preceded 20 26 instances, persisted as histologic finding initial diagnostic biopsy. appears be related previous episodes responds therapy.
