摘要: Cryptococcus neoformans is a human pathogen that mainly causes disease in immuno-compromised individuals. The yeast cells or basidiospores spread through dissemination from environmental sources, for example pigeon droppings and dust, systemic infection, cryptococcosis. A severe clinical manifestation of cryptococcosis meningo-encephalitis, but also infection other organs like the lungs, skin have been reported. Since increased incidence AIDS due to HIV virus, especially third world countries, C. has become one most emerging opportunistic pathogens hospitals. In fact, it leading death patients suffering AIDS. increasing Western use immunosuppressive drugs numbers organ transplantations. surface cell can be surrounded by thick capsule. This capsule composed polysaccharides GXM GalXM. GalXM consists monosaccharides mannose, xylose glucuronic acid, whereas contains galactose, mannose xylose. critical pathogenesis harbors components immuno-modulatory properties. physical properties makes barrier immune system reach receptors on wall. Mutants isolated an acapsular phenotype. These mutants serotype strain are called CAP10, CAP59, CAP60 CAP64. CAP67 D mutant strain. genes affected these strains identified, exact role CAP not clear. this Thesis biosynthesis its was studied. done investigating content structure capsule, looking at involved biogenesis effect dendritic cells. only interesting fundamental point view, may identify targets used improve treatment future.
