摘要: A poorly controlled acute inflammatory response can lead to organ dysfunction and death. Severe systemic inflammation be induced perpetuated by diverse insults such as the administration of toxic bacterial products (e.g., endotoxin), traumatic injury, hemorrhage. Here, we probe whether these varied shock states explained a universal system that is initiated through different means and, once initiated, follows course specified cellular molecular mechanisms immune endocrine systems. To examine this question, developed mathematical model incorporating major elements in C57Bl/6 mice, using input from experimental data. We found single with initiators including autonomic could describe various insults. This was able predict dose range endotoxin at which mice would die despite having been calibrated only nonlethal paradigms. These results show complex biology modeled supports hypothesis physiologic challenges arise differently modulated.
