Improved 2,3-butanediol production from corncob acid hydrolysate by fed-batch fermentation using Klebsiella oxytoca

摘要: Corncob acid hydrolysate, detoxed by sequently boiling, overliming and activated charcoal adsorption, was used for 2,3-butanediol production Klebsiella oxytoca ACCC 10370. The effects of acetate in hydrolysate pH on were investigated. It found that acetic inhibited the growth K. while benefited yield. With increase concentration medium from 0 to 4 g/l, lag phase prolonged specific rate decreased. inhibition cell can be alleviated adjusting 6.3 prior fermentation a substrate fed-batch strategy with low initial concentration. Under optimum condition, maximal 35.7 g/l obtained after 60 h fermentation, giving yield 0.5 g/g reducing sugar productivity 0.59 g/h l.
