摘要: Chlamydia trachomatis infection was examined as a cause of invasive cervical cancer (ICC) among women with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. In total, 499 incident ICC (ICC patients) and 539 control patients from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Manila, the Philippines, were included. C. antibodies detected by microimmunofluorescence assay. Presence HPV DNA in specimens determined polymerase chain reaction-based seropositivity associated sexual behavior but not increased risk squamous HPV-positive (odds ratio, 2.1; 95% confidence interval, 1.1-4.0). Results similar both countries. There suggestion increasing antibody titers. This large study cancer, taking into account central role found to be possible cofactor etiology its effect may mediated chronic inflammation.
