摘要: Block coding, such as DCT coding and VQ, play an important role in image data compression. However, block usually produces effects the reconstructed images. result artificial contours so degrade quality of decoded To improve visual images, postprocessing is often used. We present adaptive space-variant filter based edge map for reducing effects. First we apply detector on to obtain map. Then, environment each pixel (x,y) f(x,y) analyzed Based analysis, all pixels are classified into two classes: non-edge pixels. Finally, a 1-D directional 2-D mean applied those accordingly. Simulation results show that algorithm improved images both subject signal-to-noise ratio.
