摘要: Fibrosis is a common pathological feature observed in muscle from patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and mdx diaphragm. The purpose of this study was to determine whether pentoxifylline (PTX) treatment for 4 weeks (16 mg/kg/day) could significantly attenuate the process fibrosis diaphragm mice. PTX had no impact on vitro contractile function. In addition, hydroxyproline concentration level type I III collagen TGF-beta1 mRNA were unaffected by treatment. These findings do not support use as an antifibrotic drug dystrophy.
