摘要: Publisher Summary The chapter discusses a study in which various endocrine and morphological parameters of queen, king, eggs Macrotermes michaelseni were measured 48 colonies collected from medium-sized mounds during different seasons order to understand better functions juvenile hormone (JH) ecdysteroids reproduction the seasonal appearance reproductives. JH titres hemolymph king queen are extremely high show great variability, two shows weak positive correlation. Measurements free ecdysone 20-hydroxy-ecdysone small large oocytes queen's hemolymph, reveals that is always predominant contains little ecdysone, whereas both contain similar substantial quantities ecdysome. presents data explains differ greatly one colony another they hardly related each other or changing seasons.
