摘要: Home parenteral nutrition allows patients with gut failure to maintain a near-normal life-style. The technique restores normal nutritional status, and often are able resume their previous occupation. A safe, permanent venous access is first provided by placement of catheter in the subclavian vein. patient then taught how care for catheter, mix nutrient fluids use intravenous fluid infusion pump, monitor metabolic balance, do emergency repairs catheter. Complications relate mainly infection exit site imbalance, prophylactic measures should be taken.
