Broadband Microwave Wheat Permittivity Measurements in Free Space

摘要: Use of broadband horn/lens antennas with a collimated beam in free-space measurement set-up network analyzer operating between 3 and 13 GHz applying time-domain gating improved the accuracy permittivity (dielectric properties) measurements on grain. Measurements were taken transmission mode samples from five different classes wheat over ranges moisture content, temperature, bulk density. Dielectric properties divided by density grain for comparison lots. No differences data noted among classes, so combined presentation. The new agree well those reported previously. For further research, to provide dielectric very broad frequency range given sample, use spectroscopy is suggested.
