摘要: Traditionally, circular cylinders have been adopted as structural members of offshore structures due to simplicity, strength, cost and facility construction, etc. However, investigations on the slamming indicate that they suffer very high impact loads. Furthermore, despite loads are strongly influenced by their geometry, almost no alternative cross sectional shape has systematically studied. This paper describes an optimization horizontal in view point slamming. Investigations performed using a numerical method for analysis water arbitrary shaped bodies authors presented first report.First, we numerically study cylinder clarify mechanism existing members. Next, shapes obtained based momentum theory associated with concept added mass. The results checked simulations. analyses show parabolic section minimize total force. Finally, acceptable range angle surface is determined. can be reasonable alternatives structures.
