摘要: Summary Rare-earth compounds are corrosion inhibitors for aluminum alloys that show promise as replacements hexavalent chromate compounds. Cerium-based conversion coatings can be applied with spontaneous spray or immersion processes well an electrolytic process. The meet military standards by providing protection up to 14 days in ASTM B117 salt spray. As any surface finishing operation, the performance is a function of parameters used deposition, but process reproducible and robust. Development efforts continuing optimize deposition process, enhance long-term resistance chromate-free systems, integrate CeCCs into non-chromate coating systems include primers, topcoats, multifunctional UV-curable addition CeCCs.
