摘要: High rates of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including HIV, and unplanned pregnancies persist in the United States. Women are more likely than men to be infected with an STD bear burdens associated STD-associated complications. Condom use is advocated for active individuals. However, some persons condom remains infrequent inconsistent; this particularly true women, who may face substantial barriers (e.g., partner aggression) enacting consistent use. The female only female-controlled barrier method currently available protect women from STDs pregnancies. In paper, we review summarize literature on regard efficacy, use-effectiveness, acceptability among potential current users. addition, identify gaps suggest paths future research.
