摘要: This paper presents parametric studies of the performance a 10‐liter atmospheric‐pressure CO2 laser system controlled by 4‐μsec pulse electrons from cold‐cathode gun. The experimental results are compared to predictions theoretical model described in this paper. For various gas mixtures and values E/P peak small‐signal‐gain coefficients range up 4.7% cm−1. Measurements gain uniformity across medium time dependence small‐signal also presented. Operation device as an oscillator over parameters has shown that output typically consists sharp gain‐switched spike followed longer tail with energies 30 J 200 entire pulse. generally predicts well for containing nitrogen; largest discrepancy is pure gas. shapes pulses satisfactorily.
