摘要: The asymptotic suction boundary layer (ASBL) is a parallel shear flow that becomes turbulent in bypass transition parameter regions where the laminar profile stable. We here add temperature gradient perpendicular to plate and explore interaction between convection determining transition. find state unstable subcritical bifurcation critical Rayleigh number wave depend strongly on Prandtl number. also track several secondary bifurcations identify states are localized two directions, showing different symmetries. In regime, transient which connected exact coherent follow same scenario as found linearly stable flows identified analyzed. study extends from thermal layers shows intricate interactions forces points.
