摘要: Although carbohydrate antigen (CA19-9) level is frequently upregulated in pancreatobiliary cancer, it also elevated some benign diseases. This study aimed to determine whether CA19-9 levels could be used distinguish between obstructive jaundice and cancer. Fifty-seven patients with were studied retrospectively. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), sphincterotomy, stone extraction, or stent placement treat bile duct stricture inoperable malignant biliopancreatic diseases, whilst surgery was performed suitable cases. Serum additional biochemical parameters evaluated before after treatment. most patients, along of total bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT), 10 disorders had extraordinarily high these markers (> 1000 U/mL). The mean the group greater than that (826.83 ± 557.34 vs. 401.92 483.92 U/mL, P = 0.005), sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative (NPV) for 100%, 7.69%, 33.33% 47.47%, respectively. whole cohort correlated ALP (r 0.77, < 0.001), GGT 0.83, bilirubin 0.69, CRP 0.37, 0.004). reduction serum treatment remarkably less observed (97.26 123.24 U/mL 352.71 397.29 0.001). may not sufficient
