摘要: The brain cannot repair itself after injury. Or so goes the dogma. In his Perspective, Lowenstein outlines recent results that indicate quiescent progenitor cells and growth factors to bring them maturity are actually present, sequestered silent, in adult brain. Injury may partially trigger their activation. current research challenge is how persuade fully injured tissue.
