摘要: A 22-week-old female 129/SvEv mouse suddenly died in the context of an experiment aimed at defining efficacy valproic acid a model PML/RARα-induced acute myeloid leukemia. Histologic analysis confirmed as being affected by progressive leukemia, with infiltration spleen, bone marrow, liver, kidneys, and lungs. Variably sized intravascular clumps (emboli) dense basophilic material admixed necrotic or lytic neoplastic cells were also observed multiple organs. positive reaction to Feulgen Hoechst stain high content chromatin these emboli. Cleaved caspase-3 activity was demonstrated both leukemic infiltrates among accompanying diagnosis tumor lysis syndrome related therapy-induced massive necrosis and/or apoptosis subsequent dissemination emboli proposed.
