Deadliness, organisational change and suicide attacks: understanding the assumptions inherent in the use of the term ‘new terrorism’

摘要: This study examines the use of term ‘new terrorism’ in a sample literature on terrorism, to identify whether represents stable concept within field, is analytic value terrorism research or phrase that merely identifies an unquantified concept. A content analysis articles published journal Studies Conflict and Terrorism from 1992 2011 was used as most frequently cited features new terrorism. The results demonstrate there little consistent common feature linked it only present 25% articles.
