摘要: Abstract Catalysts have been used in wood steam-gasification to increase the rate of gasification, modify product gas composition and decompose tar byproduct gas. This paper describes use catalytic materials both reactor a secondary treatment bed. The catalysts, potassium carbonate supported nickel metal catalyst, are shown large effects on amount formation but also significant effect composition. Four cases compared, uncatalyzed steam-gasification, potassium-catalyzed followed by decomposition bed Product each case was scrubbed methylene chloride scrubbing solution analyzed chromatography/mass spectrometry. changes attributed preferential cracking different functional groups. alkali found more generalized while appeared be specific for deoxygenation with reduced activity toward aromatic hydrocarbons.
