摘要: Abstract In winter, juvenile Atlantic salmon Salmo salar move to habitat with increased water depth, reduced velocity, and larger substrate than in their preferred summer become predominantly nocturnal. However, knowledge of behavior within wintering is limited. this study, radiotelemetry was used investigate winter movement, activity, preference salmon. Data on fish position, corresponding variables, activity (i.e., active or nonactive) were collected 14 d 9 nights between 21 January 10 February 1999. Due mild air temperature, the river remained ice free during sampling, temperature ranged from 0.5°C 1.4°C. Habitat differed nonactive states. Fish observed an state only at night smaller higher velocity same a state. Selecting while may give access ...
