摘要: The effect of gamma-rays on structural, optical and photocatalytic properties TiO2 nanoparticles under controlled atmospheres are studied to further improve performance. sol–gel powders were deposited with spin-coating technique, annealed at 500°C then finally irradiated by gamma-rays. structural characteristics samples investigated Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction UV-visible spectroscopy (UV). time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculation used determine ground geometries electronic structures nanostructures. DFT calculations present an excellent conformity experimental results, a high anisotropy in stretched thermal electrical conductivity nanostructures was found. Structural results show that gamma radiation did not change the crystallinity leads band gap reduction 3.039 eV. performance methylene blue degradation as typical pollutant. Gamma has been discovered considerably pollutants compared unirradiated TiO2.
