摘要: An approximate explicit condition for the achievement of zero differential group delay (DGD) in a homogeneous multicore fiber (MCF) is presented and verified numerically step-index three-core fiber. This explored study compact fibers with low DGDs. To achieve an ultra-low DGD C-band, central refractive-index dip each core proposed analyzed detail. A specific design three touching cores core-cladding index difference 0.3% yields maximum smaller than 3.2 ps/km C-band. The suitable broadband mode-division multiplexing applications approach could be applied to MCFs more cores.
