摘要: Spatial variations in contaminant distribution river sediments are useful for pollutant diagnosis. This study investigated 18 metals/metalloids (Ag, As, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sb, Sn, Tl, U, V, Zn, and Hg) of rivers impacted by Sb Hg mining/smelting activities headwater catchments the Han River Basin, China. Source pollution assessments metals were examined based on their spatial variations. The results showed that sediment concentrations Pb typically, Ag, generally elevated. However, decreased from upstream to downstream along gradient. By combining with multivariate analyses, it was deduced elevated due activities. At sites, all near background levels, except those Sb. maximum sediments, which two- three-orders magnitude higher than reference values, still considered pose very high potential ecological risks.
