摘要: Meckel's Diverticulum is the most common congenital malformation of Gastrointestinal tract. It represent patent intestinal end vitellointestinal duct. occurs in 2 % population autospy series and usually lie 60 cm from Ileocaecal junction. possesses all three coats wall. has same microscopic structure as adjacent small bowel it a separate blood supply mesentery (the omphalomesenteric artery).1 In 20% cases, mucosa contains heterotopic epithelium, namely gastric, colonic sometimes pancreatic tissue. Although diverticulum with equal frequency both sexes, symptoms resulting from the epithelium contained predominantly occur males.2 Complications develop only 4% patients this malformation, cases presenting childhood3. include hemorrhage, obstruction, inflammation, perforation. All these complications can be challenging to diagnose because may present non-specific symptoms, which produce clinical picture that can mimic other more common gastrointestinal disorders.4 Most of the cases are diagnosed intraoperatively.
