Facultative polyploidy in endocrine tissues.

摘要: Adrenal tissue from 44 autopsies and 30 biopsies of thyroid gland were analyzed by flow — scanning-cytophotometry. Most nuclei diploid the 4C fraction ranged 1.9 to 6.1% according technique, but with no significant difference between controls adenomas, hyperplasias, adenomatous goiters, or two carcinomas gland. The only increase was found in normal adrenals patients above 50 years age (P< 0,025). Similarly constant proportion 8C which 0.5 1.3 per thousand. However, one 23 goiters a total polyploidization observed. Comparable results literature show that like epithelium seminal vesicles can facultatively become polyploidized, contrast obligatory polyploid organs namely liver heart.
