摘要: In this paper we demonstrate the role of electricity storage for integration high shares Variable Renewable Energy Sources (VRES 3) in long-term evolution power system. For a new module is developed POLES (Prospective Outlook on Long-term Systems). It now takes into account impacts VRES European The system operation relies EUCAD (European Unit Commitment And Dispatch), which includes daily and other inter-temporal constraints. innovative aspect our work direct coupling between EUCAD, thus combining simulation horizon short-term approach operation. technologies represented are pumped-hydro storage, lithium-ion batteries, adiabatic Compressed Air Storage (a-CAES) electric vehicles (charging optimisation vehicle-to-grid). Demand response grid interconnections also represented, order to include some extent these flexibility options. 2 Disclaimer: views expressed purely those writer may not any circumstances be regarded as stating an official position Commission. 3 Abbreviations: a-CAES: CCS: Carbon Capture
