Heavily T2-weighted fat-suppressed sequences are used produce images in which static fluid is hyperintense background signal suppressed. These suitable postprocessing into projection that resemble direct cholangiograms produced by ERCP or percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography. Although individual MR cholangiopancreatograms varies on basis system available software. high-quality can be obtained with nearly all clinical scanners. including midfield (0.5-T) systems.
