摘要: Abstract Turbulence levels obtained during the 1978 Joint Air-Sea Interaction experiment (JASIN) have been examined from measurements of both temperature gradient and velocity shear. These measurements, with vertical profiler OCTUPROBE 2, analyzed to compute viscous dissipation rule, ϵ, variance, χτ. As in a previous study, rate increased as surface energy input parameterized by U103 increased. The JASIN study indicated only one-third observed similar region on Scotian shelf this difference is discussed. A mixing parameter, Γ, related flux Richardson number has estimated simultaneous ϵ mean value Γ corresponds 0.21.
