摘要: Abstract To improve the corrosion resistance and glossiness of flaky aluminum pigments in waterborne coatings, a pigment was encapsulated with poly(methylhydrosiloxane) (PMHS) as an anti-corrosion film by in-situ polymerization, its chemical composition characterized Fourier-transform infrared X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, morphology microstructure identified scanning transmission electron microcopy. Furthermore, anticorrosive performance confirmed Zeta potential measurement electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The not only exhibits excellent but also shows improved thermal stability due to fabrication PMHS-based organosilicon on surface flakes. Most all, original brightness could be maintained for coating after incorporated, indicating great application water-based paints, printing inks, spray-free materials any more. This work provides new strategy design high corrosion-resistant glossy pigments.
