摘要: Abstract The energy consumption of walking relates to the intensity physical effort and can be affected by alterations in speed. Therefore, speed accepted as a crucial, determinant measurement for test. We aimed investigate differences preferred (PWS) determined both on overground treadmill and, measure expenditure spatio-temporal parameters gait at both, speeds. Participants ( n  = 26) walked two pre-determined speeds 7 min while, indirect calorimetry measurements were being performed. Spatio-temporal collected, video-taping during each session treadmill. average (O-PWS) was 85.96 ± 12.82 m/min (T-PWS), 71.15 ± 13.85 m/min. Although T-PWS lower, oxygen cost statistically higher when, (0.158 ± 0.02 ml/kg/m) than when O-PWS, (0.1480 ± 0.02 ml/kg/m). Cadence (127 ± 9.13 steps/min), stride (134.02 ± 14.09 cm) step length (67.02 ± 6.90 cm) O-PWS significantly cadence (119 ± 10 (117.96 ± 14.38 cm) (59.13 ± 7.02 cm) TPWS. In conclusion, using is more efficient TPWS, tests. Since tests overestimates walking, should used
