摘要: Gap junctions have been reported to play a pivotal role in coordinating embryonic development. Here we report the temporal and spatial pattern of connexin31 that has found be coexpressed with connexin43 preimplantation rat embryos. Connexin31 transcripts are abundant zygote degraded two- four-cell stage low levels for undetectable ones connexin43. The uncompacted eight-cell lacks both connexins. Reexpression mRNA is from compacted onward. antigen, however, already detected intracellularly at stage. At blastocyst stage, connexins trophectoderm as well inner cell mass. After implantation, compartmentalization observed. now expressed exclusively by cells ectoplacental cone extraembryonic ectoderm, whereas restricted embryo proper. This connexin expression between derivatives mass may maintain different developmental programs.
