摘要: A clean, open-circuited Pt electrode, in the presence of dissolved oxygen, catalyzes oxidation hydroquinones 1 M H2SO4. The rate is independent hydroquinone, but dependent upon O2 concentration. If iodine preadsorbed onto pt surface, catalysis inhibited, although reversible electron transfer to electrolyze hydroquinone not.
