Child Abuse and Neglect Among Iranian High School Students

摘要: Background: Millions of children and families suffer from child abuse worldwide. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the related variables for different types their perpetrators. Methods: was a cross-sectional that conducted on high school students in Hamadan, Iran 2016. Samples were selected by multiple cluster sampling method which 571 enrolled study. A standard, valid reliable self-reported questionnaire used recording another part demographic perpetrators (including: parents or other relatives, teachers, friends classmates, strangers). After data collection, SPSS V. 21 software analysis. All P values less than 0.05 considered as significant. Results: The most common neglect students' discomfort lack welfare at home (51.0%), attention ignorance demands (46.6%), parent’s excessive expectations (39.2%). In physical domain, corporal punishment conducing abrasion burns scare (51.8%) top list forms psychological strict behaviors (25.7%), insulting disrespecting (25.4%) humiliation them (24.9%). Psychological girls private schools significantly higher others (P < 0.001).
