摘要: This paper introduces a new wireless MAC protocol, MACA-BI (MACA by invitation). The protocol is simplified version of the well known MACA (multiple access collision avoidance) based on request to send/clear send (RTS/CTS) handshake. clear (CTS) control message retained, while (RTS) part RTS/CTS handshake suppressed. MACA-BI, preserving data free property, more robust than problems such as failures (control packet and corruption) finite turn-around time. Analytic results for 1 Mbps single-hop far-field network, simulation 10 multi-hop near-field ATM indoor show that outperforms other multiple protocols in high speed, steady traffic environments (e.g. VBR CBR) where propagation delay can be neglected (typically indoor).
