摘要: Abstract The objectives of the present study were twofold: (1) to assess association body condition score (BCS), β-hydroxybutyric acid (BHBA) and non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA) concentrations in blood serum prior lambing with health status intensively managed dairy ewes during periparturient period (defined here as 15 days before expected parturition up 30 after lambing), (2) evaluate BHBA NEFA fluctuations possible latter period. A total 262 clinically healthy Chios breed used. They ewe-lambs, primiparous multiparous animals. Periparturient diseases (pregnancy toxemia, retained fetal membranes, metritis clinical mastitis) culling cases “health disorders”) recorded. BCS was assessed at 30 ± 3 (−30 d). Blood samples obtained (−30 d) 15 ± 3 (−15 d) well (+15 d) (+30 d) parturition; determined. multivariable logistic model developed effect BCS, 30 d on disorders”. odds developing disorders” normal (BCS 2.75–3.5) prepartum 0.338 times lower when compared lean (BCS  P  = 0.003). In addition, for a unit increase is 2.163 develop (  = 0.013). Linear Mixed Effects indicated statistically significant time periods both r  = 0.413,
