摘要: New materials and coatings are now being developed to resist permanent bacterial contamination of implanted medical devices. This study exposed several styles middle ear ventilation tube high concentrations Pseudomonas Staphylococcus. Electron microscopy was then used evaluate these tubes' resistance biofilm formations. Ionized, processed silicone tubes were the only resistant adhesion. Tubes that made fluoroplastic or ionized very Staphylococcus when compared with untreated silver oxide-treated silicone. suggests ionized, coated would be a highly effective material in preventing tubes.
