摘要: Adequate assessment is integral to both clinical work and research on anxiety. Historically, strategies differed between prac tice. Quantitative, empirical evaluation using standardized measures was the domain of research, while more limited, idiosyncratic subjective assessments were customary in practice. It now becoming increasingly evident that measurements anxiety are important clinicians researchers. First, there demand for accountability. Whether documenting need treatment third party payers, substantiating gains funding agencies, or providing dependent objective data important.
