摘要: While it is well established that various factors can impair the production and flow of bile lead to cholestatic disease in hepatic extrahepatic sites, an enhanced assessment biomarkers underlying pathophysiological mechanisms still needed improve early diagnosis therapeutic strategies. Hence, we investigated fluorescing endogenous biomolecules as possible intrinsic molecular cellular changes cholestasis. Spectroscopic autofluorescence (AF) analysis was performed using a fiber optic probe (366 nm excitation), under living conditions serum, on livers male Wistar rats submitted duct ligation (BDL, 24, 48, 72 h). Biomarkers liver injury were assayed biochemically. In AF distinctly detected increased bilirubin at 24 h BDL. A continuous, significant increase red-fluorescing porphyrin derivatives indicated subversion heme metabolism, consistent with almost twofold serum iron liver, NAD(P)H flavins, lipopigments, impairment mitochondrial functionality, oxidative stress, accumulation products. serum/hepatic profile be thus proposed supportive diagnostic tool for situ, real-time study bio-metabolic alterations (BDL) experimental hepatology, potential eventually translate clinical diagnosis.
