摘要: The synthesis and characterisation of a series [RuII (bpy)2 L] [Ir(ppy)2 complexes containing ligands L with the potential to engage in triple hydrogen bonding interactions is described. L1 L2 comprise pyridyl triazole chelating units pendant diaminotriazine units, capable donor-acceptor-donor (DAD) bonding, while L3 L4 contain ADA proximal N^N N^O cleating sites, respectively. X-ray crystallography shows RuII assemble via R 2 8 dimers, L4] assembles extended motifs form one dimensional chains. By contrast, expected patterns are not observed for IrIII L3. Spectroscopic studies show that absorption spectra result from combinations MLCT LLCT transitions. emissive solid state it seems likely complementary species may facilitate tuning their 3 ILCT emission. Low frequency Raman provide further evidence ordered complexes, consistent results crystallography.
