摘要: Abstract Alkali-activated ground granulated blast furnace slag (AAS) pastes blended with quartz powder (QP) at various replacement levels ranging from 0 wt.% to 30 wt.% an increment of 5 wt.% were autoclaved a pressure 8 bars and temperature 170 °C. Different times autoclaving adopted namely, 0, 0.5, 1, 4, 6 10 h. The binder was activated by 25 wt.% sodium silicate. Compressive strength values the before after measured. decomposition phases formed identified using X-ray diffraction (XRD) thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA). morphology hydrates studied scanning electron microscopy (SEM). QP in slag/QP composites resulted marked increase either or un-autoclaved specimens. microstructure showed less porosity than those neat slag. It is also found that compressive specimens are higher main hydration products calcium silicate tobermorite gel.
