摘要: Abstract An evaluation was made of the Schedule Recent Events (SRE) and Social Readjustment Rating Scale (SRRS) based on a clinical sample 353 individuals. Although differential weights in scaling life events are widely used, psychometric theory would indicate otherwise. That is, simple counting (unit weights) exemplified by SRE should yield scores that correlate almost perfectly with Life Change Unit (LCU) computed using from SRRS. Empirically, had correlation 0.97 Indeed, when random numbers were used as weights, SRRS (random still 0.97. Furthermore, gave higher internal consistency reliability (0.80) than where estimate 0.72. This trend evident six more homogeneous subscales been previously identified factor analysis. Finally, influence three response styles (social desirability, denial carelessness) SRE, found to be negligible. The findings this study seriously challenge use measurement event changes.
