摘要: earlier identification has increased the number of infants identified with hearing loss. A significant and growing proportion children who are D/deaf or hard have a disability (DWD). Literature related to toddlers DWD is scarce because heterogeneity population many disabilities may go undiagnosed until child older. Service availability, professional preparation, use evidence-based practices must improve best meet needs these their families. An examination theory, research, practice in early intervention for revealed lack qualified professionals need targeted instruction teacher preparation programs technological advances paired treatment (e.g., telepractice). Increased transdisciplinary collaboration technology utilization hold promise as ways improving service provision young DWD.
