摘要: Poleward expansion of the Hadley circulation has been an important topic in climate change studies past few years, and one critically issues is how it related to anthropogenic forcings. Using simulations from coupled model intercomparison projection phase 5 (CMIP5), we study influences forcings on width strength circulation. It found that significant poleward can be reproduced CMIP5 historical all-forcing although magnitude trends much weaker than observations. Simulations with individual demonstrate among three major types forcings, increasing greenhouse gases (GHGs) stratospheric ozone depletion all cause circulation, whereas aerosols do not have Increasing GHGs both hemispheres, largest widening northern cell boreal autumn.
