摘要: Candida parapsilosis is increasingly responsible for invasive candidiasis in neonates. This study investigates phenotypic and genotypic features of C. microbial isolates underlying clinical conditions associated with acquisition a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) Italy. Identification was performed by VITEK® 2 MALDI TOF confirmed analysis internal transcribed spacer ribosomal DNA sequences. Genotyping PCR fingerprinting. Antifungal susceptibility strains evaluated microdilution. A case-control designed to identify risk factors bloodstream infection. During the period (April 2009- April 2012), 6 umbilical catheter 11 central catheter-associated infection 17 neonates NICU. Molecular typing identified identical fingerprinting profile all from Fifteen were susceptible antifungal drugs, two resistant fluconazole intermediate itraconazole. Low birthweight, gestational age time exposure assisted ventilation NICU at univariate multivariate analysis. infections caused single epidemic clone. devices, predominance ventilation,
