Lifetimes of Rydberg States in Small Molecules: Fluorescence, Predissociation and Autoionization

摘要: The reactivity of Rydberg states is interest due to their large radius but the practical use them limited by rapid decays predissociation and, above first ionization limit, autoionization. most stable levels are those with very high values n and possible stabilization an electric field makes in chemical reactions.
